Dave McConnell’s extensive Oil & Gas career spans 4 decades and 4 continents. Working with various offshore drilling companies and boasting several positions such as Rig Manager and Field Superintendent with specialization in high pressure flows, volumes, and pressures in deep wells. Dave has garnered a deep understanding of the technology surrounding the Oil, Gas and Energy sector and envisioned a future with an energy source not dependent on fossil or nuclear fuels. Dave has surrounded himself with the expertise to see his vision come to fruition.
Jason Meetsma is a management, sales, and marketing professional with a wide breadth of knowledge and experience. Jason co-founded and operated a cleaning company in his 20’s, has worked for large tobacco, media sales and insurance. Later in his career, he took on a territory management role for a new oil manufacturing company and launched a new product line throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan over the course of four years. Excelled at a business development role for a large fabricator in Acheson marketing the shops capabilities to large Oil & Gas corporations and private firms.
Michael’s professional career kicked off in the oilfields, where from 1969 to 1975, he worked as a Journeymen Electrician. His expertise and dedication then led him to the gas fields from 1975 to 1984. It was in 1984 that Michael transitioned into Oil and Gas field management, a role he held until his retirement in 2017. During this time, he was responsible for overseeing all field staff, which included approximately 250 field operators across 8 district offices, along with 3 clerical staff and 2 trade personnel. Under his leadership, the operations expanded across Alberta and reached into British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Inuvik, marking a significant footprint in the industry.
Dr. Tony Cadrin is a senior Geologist with 30+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry identifying, exploring, developing, and drilling conventional and unconventional resources for both oil and gas. Tony has an extensive understanding of geological forces, business strategies in various economic climates, technical expertise, and mentorship. His international experience includes most basins in North America. He has held the positions of Vice President, President, and past President of the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists, holds board positions for 5 Private companies and is Chair of the Board for Kalkee Energy LTD.
Jacob Skjaerlund has extensive experience in the oil & gas industry, having worked with rod rigs, service rigs, and drilling rigs. He is a 3rd-year welding apprentice with CWB certification and has expertise in pipe fitting. Jacob has held roles such as day supervisor for well testing, managing both low-pressure and high-pressure wells, and has served as Northern Operations Manager and Operations Manager in Canada. Additionally, he has experience as a Field Superintendent for critical shoring projects and has a strong electrical background. Skilled in several CAD software programs and computer numerical control (CNC) operations, Jacob has also studied 4th class power engineering and has experience in critical sour plant and field operations.
With 15 years of extensive financial experience and over two decades of successfully owning and operating a business alongside her husband, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Yvonne is skilled at chairing meetings and has a strong understanding of the critical importance of proper documentation in all aspects of company operations.
